ABOUT THE BOOK:
“In Heroes We Trust: Street Artists and Their Heroes” asks sixty international street artists to muse on the notion of heroism. Each artist contributed an original piece of work for the collection, illuminating the inspiring theme, often in a very surprising and deeply personal way. Works range from a spray-painted portrait of Gandhi on an electrical box in Los Angeles to a stenciled image of a typewriter spelling out the phrase “joie de vivre” on a wall in New Orleans.
Concepted and curated by Neely Shearer, the book also includes a foreword by Ron English of Ron English's Team POPaganda and a preface by JEF AEROSOL, both trailblazers and icons in the world of street art.
